What is a Professional Account?
A professional account allows for trading with higher leverage and lower margin requirements than those available to traders with regular accounts.
For example: in a regular account, indices are offered with a leverage of up to 1:40, whereas in professional accounts they are offered with a leverage of up to 1:300.
For an account to be classified as a Professional Account, the total value of the positions the customer has closed in the past six months must be at least 60 million NIS.
Plus500 offers customers meeting this criteria the possibility of classifying their account as professional; interested customers are asked to provide their consent in writing, in advance, and again every year henceforth, for their account to be classified as professional.
'Professional Account' holders may request for their accounts to be reclassified as 'regular' at any time.
Professional account classification is subject to approval by Plus500.Plus500 does not claim to be an official academic institution that has received recognition from any country/government.
