Plus500 offers customers most of its services free of charge, and we are upfront with the few fees we do charge. There are no surprises. Our compensation is derived from our Trading Commissions, which are among the lowest in the industry (based on internal monitoring).

Currency Conversion Fee
A currency conversion fee will be applied to every trade executed and transaction charged in a currency that differs from your account currency.
Currency conversion fees on profit/loss from trading activities and transactions charged (e.g. trading commission, capital gains tax, dividend payments etc.) are calculated using the FX Spot mid-price at the time of the trade's execution or transaction's charge, plus or minus 0.3%.
Taxation by Market
Taxes and Fees may occur on other corporate events, other than cash dividends, such as a fee on a stock dividend or tax on a merger. When such taxes and fees occur, Plus500 will debit your account accordingly.
Stamp Duty
For UK shares a Panel for Takeovers and Mergers (PTM) Levy and Stamp Duty may be applicable. Stamp Duty is applied on all Buy transactions at a rate of 0.5% of the transaction value.
UK PTM Levy
A PTM Levy of 1 GBP is applied to Buy and Sell transactions where the Gross Value of the trade exceeds 10,000 GBP.
Taxation on Irish Shares in UK
Ireland Stamp Duty 1% of the transaction value for Buy transactions only.
For French large-cap stocks a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) of 0.3% applies to all Buy transactions. For the full list of French stocks, please read the official application decree (in French).
The Italian Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) of 0.1% applies to all Buy transactions of Italian shares and equity-linked securities (i.e. depositary receipts) in listed companies that have a registered office in Italy. For more information, please read here the Ministerial Decree as issued by the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance.
The Spanish Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) of 0.2% applies to all Buy transactions of Spanish shares and equity-linked securities (i.e. depositary receipts) in listed companies with a capitalisation above EUR 1bn. An Irish Takeover Panel (ITP) levy charge of 1.25 Euros applies to all Buy and Sell transactions of Irish shares and equity-linked securities where the Gross Value of the trade exceeds 12,500 Euros.
Ireland Stamp Duty 1% of the transaction value applies to Buy transactions only.
Plus500 passes on to its customers the SEC Section 31 fee of 0.00051 USD per million, effective February 25, 2021, on U.S. exchange CFD DMA and stock Sell transactions where customers’ orders are entered directly into the underlying market. This fee only applies to U.S. exchanges.

As part of our commitment to offer the best trading conditions available, we cover most payment processing fees. On rare occasions, you may incur fees when transferring money to and from your Plus500 account1. These are determined and levied by your payment issuer or bank, and not by Plus500.
